Getting started
If you are new to biological recording, don't let the variety of species and methods overwhelm you. Start simply with one species or a small group. When you feel reasonably confident, you can practise your new skills with a straightforward survey or take part in a national recording scheme.
FSCBiolinks have worked with EcoSapien to produce a series of films offering guidance on various aspects of biological recording including:
- What is a biological record?
- Why are biological records important?
- How to submit a biological record?
