20th July 2017. 0900-14.30.

The TVERC team invite all recorders, both budding and experienced, to join us for an informal but skills-focused field day out at the beautiful location of Whytham Woods, near Oxford. Free training event. All welcome.

Our Skills for Recorders field day has a varied programme and will include a group walk, spotting wildlife as we go, and demonstration of some simple sampling techniques. The aim for the day is for us meet informally to practice survey and identification skills and, for those with greater experience, to share with others.

We are always keen to support the volunteer recording community and to build skills and confidence to encourage you in your valuable recording efforts.

You will have the chance to develop your own knowledge, excercise your existing identification and surveying skills, ask questions and/or to help share your own ID tips with others less experienced in your particular area of interest whether that be mammals, invertebrates, fungi or flowering plants.

Please see the poster for the event here.

To book or for any queries please contact us by telephone 01865 815451 or by email: tverc@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Please book by 13th July.
