TVERC small grant scheme

Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre (TVERC) offers a small grant scheme in partnership with the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE2). Applications are invited from projects that improve the quality, quantity and/or coverage of voluntary species recording in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Applications may be for grants to support independent projects to provide for better recording. Alternatively they may be linked to a larger biodiversity application to TOE2 which includes an element of species recording.

Most grants are up to £500 but applications up to £2,000 can be considered, depending on the nature of the project and the level of funds available.

In 2019/20 we funded Benson Nature Group to help get surveying equipment and the High Park Biodiversity Survey (Year 3). An excellent project which is collecting interesting species. You can read more about the project progress here.

Application information

TOE2 supports projects which benefit Oxfordshire’s environment and communities.  The majority of grants are up to £5,000, however some larger requests may be considered.

The TOE2 grant panel meets four times a year to consider funding applications. The next grant application deadlines are 5th March, 4th June and 3rd September.
