 Friday 28th April, 8pm,

Venue: Watlington Town Hall, OX49 5PS

Many will know Professor Fortey as the presenter of a number of BBC TV series about evolution.

For this talk given as part of the 2017 programme of the Watlington Environment Group he will bring the same blend of accessible expertise to this talk, which is based on his detailed study of a patch of ancient beech-and-bluebell woodland near Henley. From this small wood, he explores the long view, connecting its stunning natural history to the ancient history of the countryside to tell a fascinating story of the Chilterns landscape.

This talk is expected to be of particular relevance to Record Centre followers and supporters, because it shows how close study of a particular patch can be so rewarding and revealing.

Admission  £2.50 (free to Watlington Environment Group members).
