TVERC supports Deer Park Wood Nature Day

The Witney Woodland Volunteers and Earth Trust are hosting an evening and follow on day of wildlife events at Deer Park Wood to celebrate Earth Day 2017.

They are joined by members of the Oxon Mammal Society, Moth Recorders of Oxfordshire to provide a whole series of fun and fascinating activities: see the full programme for all details.

Friday 21st April:

6pm - Moth trapping set up

8pm - Bat detecting

Saturday 22nd April:

5.30am - Early morning chorus walk

10am - 2pm Nature Day activities for all including surveying and help with identification.

Free event, donations welcomed. Refreshments available. 

TVERC are pleased to support the event by providing survey equipment for the activities - and we look forward to seeing the new data records collected by the group there!

Deer Park Wood is located on the corner between Range Road and Deer Park Road, Witney, OX28 5GS. This is just south of West Witney Sports Ground.
