TVERC Spring Recorders’ Conference 10th March 2018

Flyer for Spring 2018 conference

Wildlife data for decision-making and conservation

We really hope that you will join us for our next TVERC Recorders' Conference on Saturday 10th March 2018 at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in Wallingford. All are very welcome and booking is now open.

The theme for this conference is the importance of good biological data, and how it is used to inform decision-making, research and conservation work

There will be main presentations on a variety of topics including how wildlife records are used in the planning process, and research into insect population trends. There is also a choice of afternoon workshops to improve your recording skills with one each on cranefly species and spider family identification plus sessions on using and creating multi-access keys and insights into the role of being a "flora guardian".

We will have speed updates from a variety of organisations and groups and opportunities for networking and finding out what others are doing across the counties of Oxfordshire and Berkshire. We have a great list already. Let us know when you register if you have recorder-related news or ideas yourself that you would like to share briefly at the event, or a display or leaflets you would like to bring.
