Our recorders’ conferences offers a chance for the biological recording community to come together and share updates and information on what they are doing. Anyone who is interested in wildlife recording and conservation is welcome to attend.


£5 for students (proof of student status required)

£10 individual or volunteer recorders

£18 corporate/professionals (employer is paying your attendance)

This includes lunch and refreshments. Advance booking is required and the final date for bookings or refunds is Friday 28th February.

There will be a choice of workshops on the day

  • Track and Sign  - ancient skills that can transform modern mammal recording with Bob Cowley, Oxfordshire Mammal Group

Speed updates

We would love to hear from YOU about what you have been up to - do you have any interesting sightings to share, upcoming events, or perhaps you are looking for new volunteers? We have a limited number of slots available which are 5 minutes long, with a maximum of 5 slides. Please indicate on your booking form if you would like to give an update.


There will be a range of display stands from different recording and conservation groups which you can visit during refreshment and lunch breaks. Please indicate on your booking form if you would like to bring a display and/or leaflets.


There will be books for sale including Get Your Boots On, Alex White (please bring cash).

There is free car parking at the venueIf coming via public transport, the nearest train station is Oxford and there are regular bus services to Cheney School. You can take bus number 4, 4A, 4B or 4C which stops on Warnerford Hospital. Alternatively, you can take bus number 8, 9, N8, U1, X8, 275, 280 Saphire or 400 Park & Ride which stops at Brookes University (B2) which is a 7 min walk to Cheney School.
