Bracknell Forest Natural History Society Event 21st November
The Kennet is a 45-mile long chalk stream which flows through Marlborough, Hungerford and Newbury, before joining the Thames on the reach above Sonning Lock just outside Reading. There are now many organisations operational throughout the UK monitoring the health of our rivers and taking practical action to improve and restore habitats. Action for the River Kennet (ARK) is one such highly active group, and on the 21st of November ARK Project Officer MIA RIDLER will be talking about the amazing wildlife to be found here, including the critically endangered European Eel. Please see their poster for more information.
Do please join them if you can and/or pass this information to colleagues or Members if you represent a society. The visitors’ entrance fee at South Hill Park is £3 per person (cash at the door).
