Reaching 1000 data searches!

Your records are being used more than ever before!

This last year, TVERC has handled over 1000 requests to access records! This means that the records that local wildlife recorders submit – whether sent directly to us, submitted to iRecord or sent via national recording schemes – are being used for a wide range of purposes, including development planning, research, neighbourhood planning, student projects and lots more.

And don't forget that we always need current and up-to-date information. It is important that recorders and ecologists continue to share their records with TVERC so we have as accurate a picture of species distributions as possible. Current records are often more useful for development planning as they confirm a species is present in the area in recent years, rather than relying on older or historical information.
