TVERC Vacancy - Projects Manager

TVERC is looking to appoint a new Projects Manger. We would like to find an experienced ecologist with a good understanding of the planning system to ensure TVERC continues to win and successfully deliver environmental field and data projects. This role will be critical to the success of growing these activities further in the coming years.

The Projects Manager is a senior role within TVERC and will work closely with the Director to help TVERC deliver its’ goals. This includes providing a high level of technical expertise to our organisation and stakeholders. The imminent arrival of the Environment Bill along with various other initiatives are driving a growing need to use information about our natural world to shape plans and policy. With this in mind, Opportunity Mapping, Biodiversity Net Gain and Natural Capital Accounting are likely to be important areas of work for TVERC in the near future. This position will have a key role to play in helping TVERC support Oxfordshire and Berkshire develop their Nature Recovery Strategies. There are many opportunities to develop TVERC’s products and services that will support the changing needs of our customers and communities

The Projects Manager is responsible for managing the Biodiversity Projects team. This includes our Ecological Surveyors who run the Local Wildlife Sites projects and cover other field work; a Projects Officer who support field and data project work; and a Recording Co-ordinator who supports the volunteer recording network to help increase the quality and quantity of environmental data recording in our region.

Applications close Sunday 29th August. For more information and to apply: Projects Manager OCC98910 (newjob.org.uk)
