Noticing Nature events

Join us for our free "Noticing Nature" events, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural world and observe the wildlife around us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2025 Noticing Nature events! From Hinksey Heights to Boundary Brook, we explored a wide range of habitats and spotted everything from wildflowers to amphibians. We also really appreciated the feedback—lots of you said the events helped you feel more connected to nature, sparked curiosity, and encouraged you to notice wildlife in your everyday surroundings.

Although this year's events have now concluded, we’re already looking ahead to 2026. Keep an eye on this page for updates and announcements about next year’s programme.

Why participate?

A wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, taking a break from the daily routine to enjoy the beauty of the natural world. Studies have shown that connecting with nature can improve mental and physical wellbeing, reducing stress and enhancing mood. You will also gain knowledge about local wildlife and their habitats, fostering a deeper connection to the environment around you.

Discover the importance of sharing your wildlife sightings and learn about identification techniques. By reporting what you observe, you help build a comprehensive picture of local wildlife, which is crucial for conservation efforts.
