TVERC training

TVERC provides training for habitat and species surveys, biological recording and identification and in the use of GIS.

Training is currently provided in two main formats, as an annual training programme of courses to teach survey skills, which are primarily aimed at beginners and also bespoke training

TVERC Training Course Programme

TVERC training courses help train volunteers to improve identification skills and knowledge of a range of priority habitats and species. These introductory training courses are run by expert ecologists and aimed at beginners. Courses cover basic ecology, relevant legislation, identification features and survey techniques. They generally involve both indoor and outdoor sessions. You can book for individual courses or all.

Course fees: individual £60 / professional £120

For each course we offer a couple of subsidised places for students at a rate of £30 on a first come, first served basis, with proof of student status needed.

Tea and coffee are provided on all the courses but you will need to bring your own lunch.
